General information
As you would expect in an old cottage, there is restricted headroom in places
and there are some interesting floor contours! Because of its rural setting
you can expect to hear a cockerel early in the morning. We feel these things
are part of its rustic charm, but we mention them in case you feel it would
spoil your holiday!
We want you to enjoy staying here as much as we enjoy living in the adjoining cottage. Although we only moved from Hampshire to the West Country a few years ago, we have been holidaying in Cornwall for over 30 years and love everything about it. Peter has a lifelong passion for fishing and has been following an APGAI game fishing instructor's course so he can encourage others to enjoy this sport. We have a variety of guide books and maps which you are welcome to borrow during your stay.
We regret that we are not able to accommodate your pets and we operate a no-smoking policy in the cottage.
You will be welcomed with a Cornish cream tea and we can arrange to have the fridge stocked ready for your arrival. There are cafe/restaurants within walking distance and pubs in the nearby villages of St Germans, Tideford and Hessenford. There is a general stores with post office in St Germans and an excellent family butcher at Tideford. Supermarkets are located in Liskeard (6 miles), Torpoint (10 miles) and Saltash (10 miles) which boasts Cornwall's only Waitrose supermarket.
For retail therapy you need go no further than across the road to Kernow Mill for clothing, gifts and golfing equipment, whilst the cities of Plymouth and Truro both offer a full range of shops.
